ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Lucknow arrival and Drive to Nepalgunj (3-4 hours of drive)

 

Accommodation: Hotel Siddhartha or Similar, MealsDinner

 On the first day of your arrival, you can take a flight to Lucknow from your destination, our representative from Yolo Hike will welcome and pick you up you from Lucknow airport or Hotel and we will take a drive to Nepalgunj exploring Breathtaking views, vegetation, and beautiful scenery from your window. Dinner and Overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 2: Early Flight to Simikot and helicopter flight to Hilsa, cross the Tibet border and drive to Taklakot. Overnight at Hotel

 

Accommodation: Hotel, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

 

Take a dawn flight from Nepaljung to Simikot. The early morning flight from Nepaljung to Simikot is a regular and small aeroplane. From Simikot, take a tiny helicopter to Hilsa, pass the Nepal-Tibet border, and drive to Taklakot. The rest of the day is spent resting and acclimating.

 

Day 3:Drive to Lake Mansarovar, evening ritual activities in bank of Mansarovar. Overnight at Guest House

Purang is a short drive from Manasarovar. Spend the entire day on the shores of Lake Manasarovar. Today, bathing in Manasarovar water and participating in spiritual activities at Manasarovar are both possible. Staying here for a long time today will help your body acclimate.

 

Day 4: Exploration of Lake Mansarovar and drive to Darchen.

Today, we’ll immerse ourselves in the colors of religion by visiting the sacred lake of Mansarovar. We’ll perform a few rituals before heading to Darchen’s village. We will be able to see the sacred Mt. Kailash along the journey. Darchen used to be known as Lhara. The town is located directly in front of Mt. Kailash, which is considered sacred. Day 5: Drive to yamadwar and start trek to Dirapuk (First day of Kora)

 

Accommodation: Guest House, Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

 

We’ll drive to Tarboche, a little town. The Kailash Kora’s beginning point is Tarboche. Tarboche is home to Yamadwar, the god of death’s gateway. We’ll travel a few hours from here to the settlement of Derapuk, which sits in front of Mt. Kailash’s north face. Beautiful views of the Gurla-Mandala, Ape, Kamet and other high peaks will be available today.

 

Day 6: Trek to Zuthulpuk crossing Dolma La Pass (5600) (Hardest day of Kora day two)

Today is Kailash Kora’s longest and most difficult trek day. To get to Juthulpuk, we’ll climb up Drolma La, the highest pass in the area. First, we’ll travel to Jarok Donkhang, a small Tibetan settlement. We will then hike towards the Shiva-tsal. People are said to die a symbolic death in Shiva-tsal before being reincarnated. Once they reach the summit of the Drolma La Pass, they are said to be reincarnated. We’ll have a break here for a while before descending steeply to the Lham-chu Khir River’s banks. We have to follow the river to the Khando Sangam La, which faces Mt. Kailash on the eastern side. We’ll arrive at the settlement of Juthulpuk. The location was named after the famed Juthulpuk Cave, also known as the Miracle Cave. We’ll be able to see the Buddha’s footprints along the road.

 

Day 7: Finish Kailash Kora and Drive back to Taklakot. Overnight at Hotel

We’ll spend the morning exploring the caverns and temples surrounding the Milarepa cave. After breakfast, we’ll climb for 3-4 hours to finish our Kora and return to Darchen village. Take the same car from Darchen to Taklakot/ Purang, which is close to the Nepal-Tibet border once more.

 

Day 8: Drive back to Hilsa Nepal flight to Simikot via Helicopter and flight back to Nepalgunj, Finally Lucknow Drop Tour ends

Drive up to the Nepal Tibet boardercross immigration and walk to the Helipad using Tibetan transportation. Fly to Simikot by heli and then move to a hotel for the night. If time allows and a ticket to Nepaljung is still available, take a connecting aircraft to Nepaljung and travel to the hotel. Today is actually a make-up day in case of a travel delay. Nepaljung is reached through a connecting flight. Continue your journey to Lucknow.

 

Day 9: One Reserve day in case of Bad weather ,Tour ends

Tibet Permit and Visa

 

Permit: For applying Tibet Permit, we need your copy of valid passport at least 45 days prior to your tour date so that we can apply permit on time.

  • Clearly Scanned copy of Passport
  • Passport must be valid (not expired)

 

Visa: For Tibet visa, we will inform you to send your original Passport in Delhi 10 days prior to your tour date. We will issue your Tibet Visa in Delhi and we will send you back your original Passport to your address and you can fly to Nepal.

Fly to Nepal: You must have original Passport or Voter ID to fly to Nepal.
