Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (Altitude: 1310m)

Your journey begins with your arrival in Kathmandu, the vibrant capital city of Nepal. You will be transferred to your hotel, where you can rest and acclimate to the city’s atmosphere. A welcome lunch and dinner will be provided, allowing you to get a taste of Nepalese cuisine. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trip Briefing (Altitude: 1310m)

After breakfast, you will embark on a cultural and spiritual tour of some of Kathmandu’s most significant religious sites. You will visit Pashupatinath, a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva; Bouddhanath, one of the largest stupas in the world and a key site for Buddhist pilgrims; Gujeswari Temple, an important Shakti Peeth; and Jal Narayan (Budhanilkantha), a revered temple featuring a large sleeping Vishnu statue. In the evening, a trip briefing will be conducted at the hotel to prepare for the upcoming adventure. Those interested can opt for a Mountain Flight for breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayas (additional cost). Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (Altitude: 2380m)

After an early breakfast, you will begin your scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, a gateway town to the Tibetan border. The journey takes you through winding mountain roads, offering picturesque views of lush valleys, terraced fields, and rural villages. Upon arrival, you will check in at a standard hotel, where you will spend the night. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 4: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kerung (Altitude: 2700m)

Today, you will cross the Nepal-Tibet border at Rasuwagadhi and complete immigration formalities before continuing your journey to Kerung (Kyirong) in Tibet. The drive offers stunning views of snow-capped peaks and changing landscapes as you enter Tibetan territory. Upon reaching Kerung, you will check in at a guest house for the night. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 5: Drive from Kerung to Saga (Altitude: 4640m)

After breakfast, you will drive through the vast Tibetan plateau towards Saga, a significant town on the way to Mount Kailash. The journey passes through beautiful landscapes, including snow-covered mountains, high-altitude plateaus, and small Tibetan settlements. Upon arrival in Saga, you will check in at a hotel and rest for the night. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 6: Drive to Lake Mansarovar (Altitude: 4590m)

Today’s journey takes you to the sacred Lake Mansarovar, one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world and a site of great religious significance for Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains. Upon arrival, you will have time to rest and take in the stunning surroundings. You will stay overnight at a guest house near the lake. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 7: Exploration of Lake Mansarovar and Drive to Darchen (Altitude: 4670m)

You will spend the morning exploring Lake Mansarovar, where devotees take ritual baths and perform pujas (prayers). The serene blue waters, set against the backdrop of Mount Kailash, create a truly spiritual atmosphere. Afterward, you will drive to Darchen, the base camp for the Kailash Kora (circumambulation). Upon arrival, you will check in at a hotel and prepare for the trek. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 8: Drive to Yamadwar and Trek to Derapuk (First Day of Kailash Kora) (Altitude: 5210m)

The first day of the Kailash Kora (parikrama) begins with a drive to Yamadwar (Gate of the Lord of Death), a significant pilgrimage site. From here, you will start trekking towards Derapuk, covering approximately 12 km. This trek offers breathtaking views of the north face of Mount Kailash. You will stay overnight at a guest house in Derapuk. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 9: Trek to Juthulpuk via Drolma La Pass (Second Day of Kailash Kora) (Altitude: 5630m)

This is the most challenging day of the trek as you cross the Drolma La Pass (5630m), the highest point of the pilgrimage. The ascent is steep and demanding, but reaching the top is an unforgettable spiritual experience. After crossing the pass, you will descend towards Juthulpuk, passing by Gauri Kund, a sacred lake. You will spend the night at a guest house. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 10: Finish Kailash Kora and Drive Back to Saga (Third Day of Kailash Kora) (Altitude: 4640m)

On the final day of the Kailash Kora, you will trek back to Darchen, completing the sacred circumambulation. Afterward, you will drive back to Saga, retracing your route across the Tibetan plateau. Upon arrival, you will check in at a hotel and rest. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 11: Drive Back to Kerung (Altitude: 2700m)

After breakfast, you will begin the return journey, driving back to Kerung, near the Nepal-Tibet border. You will stay overnight at a guest house, preparing for the border crossing the next day. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 12: Drive Back to Kathmandu (Altitude: 1310m)

Today, you will cross the border back into Nepal and drive towards Kathmandu, marking the end of your Tibetan journey. Upon arrival in the capital, you will check in at a hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening. Meals include breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 13: Departure (Altitude: 1310m)

Your spiritual journey comes to an end today. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure, carrying with you the unforgettable memories of this sacred pilgrimage. Meals include breakfast.
